Vandalisms in Kinross - Witness / Information Appeal

Officers are appealing for information following a spate of vandalisms to vehicles in Kinross.

The incidents happened between 5pm on Monday 28 September 2026 and 8am on Thursday 8 October 2026, on Smith Street, Burns-Begg Street and Old Causeway within the town centre. 8 vehicles have had the bodywork scratched.

Constable Ben Samson said: “There were numerous incidents reported and we are carrying out enquiries to identify those responsible. Our enquiries thus far suggest that overnight from Wednesday 7 October – Thursday 8 October is the most likely timeframe these have occurred.

“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area around this time and noticed anything suspicious to contact us.

“In addition, anyone with private CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage is asked to get in touch as this may be able to assist our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 1281 of 8 October 2026. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
